Isn't being lazy something that just happens? Does one actually have to plan out a lazy day? These are the kind of questions that pop up in my mind when I see such a title for an article or video. It is true being lazy is not something that is planned. In fact, not planning a lazy routine is part of the whole process. It is the 1st step cause all you have to do is go with the flow. One of the best things about being lazy is that you get to do what you want to do and not have it all pre-planned. It is the time to just lay back and give in. You could take some time off your prefect skincare or work out routine. Of course am not saying to give up on your routines cause usually routines are held up with consistency and are rendered ineffective once that consistency is broken. Plus however long you decide to be lazy depends entirely on you. You can be lazy on your days off work/school or your weekends. Personally, I prefer lazy weekends. They are so wholesomely fulfilling.
2ND STEP: FIGURE OUT YOUR KIND OF LAZY
- Lazy kind of lazy
You have low energy and do not have the will to do anything productive. "Today I don't feel like doing anything, I just wanna lay in my bed.", the lazy song kind of vibes. (Bruno Mars)
- Tired kind of lazy
You have been busy studying/working and the fatigue is finally taking its toll so you need some time off to rest and recharge.
- Productive kind of lazy
You're low on energy but still want to do something productive like read a book, make an outfit, write a book or lyrics or even incorporate your hobbies.
3RD STEP: SET BOUNDARIES
At this point you gotta decide if you're gonna be lazy on your own or if you're gonna get other people involved. Sometimes you might wanna be lazy with other people but if that's not the case, then;
- No friends allowed.
- No boyfriends allowed.
- No family allowed.
- Not people related but definitely no physical activities allowed.
4TH STEP: PICK OUT YOUR REQUIREMENTS AND ACTIVITIES
The best part about this is that you do not need to plan out the requirements or activities. This is where you get to jump in and do what makes you happy. For example the basic requirements would naturally be a bed, couch, any kind of screen and food.
Some activities to consider if you're feeling productive could be;
- Reading a book
- Drawing and coloring
- Journaling
- Cooking
- Hair plaiting and styling
- Crocheting, Sewing or knitting
Of course there's a lot more activities to try out and these are just a few but if any of them don't work for you, you can always listen to music because music heals.
